Bonnie Ayers Namkung, Consultant
Copywriter and certified SEO Specialist
Bonnie, a San Rafael, California-based copywriter, helps clients create engaging, results-oriented marketing content – including websites, email newsletters and customer case studies. She enjoys helping companies break out of the "we-we-we" marketing rut, bringing a lively "what’s in it for you" perspective to their marketing content.
An expert in helping companies boost their visibility and results on the web, she holds an SEO certification from the JM Internet Group. Bonnie has led clients as diverse as dance studios and construction consulting to sizable increases in website traffic and new customers.
Her website projects, in collaboration with graphic designers or marketing consultants, range from researching keywords and retrofitting existing sites to planning and writing new sites. She also writes a variety of print and online content— including annual reports, white papers and blog posts.
Broad business experience
Bonnie contributes a broad understanding to client projects, with business experience in corporate sales, accounting, customer service, marketing communications and PR.
In addition to her work in marketing communications, Bonnie was a freelance writer for national and regional magazines. Her profiles and business how-to articles appeared in periodicals such as The Crafts Report, Niche, Artisan Northwest and Surface Design. As an editor, she has worked on books from The Cocktail Napkin Marketing Plan to One Woman’s Story Told in Quilts and e-newsletters that include the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce’s GreenUp e-newsletter.
Supporting the Green Community
In addition to earning a Bay Area Green Business certification, Bonnie is active in the green community. She belongs to the Green Chamber of Commerce, is co-chair of the San Rafael Chamber’s green committee and is on the advisory committee of a 2011 event, EcoFair Marin.
After first attending the University of Wyoming, Bonnie earned a degree in marketing with a minor in journalism from California State, Chico. She seeks ongoing education in online marketing and social media, attending many workshops, webinars and classes.
Growing up in the wilds of Montana and Wyoming, panning gold and riding horses through the sagebrush, Bonnie never dreamed she’d end up spending time in Japan and calling California home. She lives in Marin County with her husband and two children, and loves to read, hike and design jewelry.
